The Phast version 6.7 release was available for download from July this year. This is a significant update to the Phast product suite, containing many improvements as well as a new Study Manager utility for combining risk results from multiple studies.
PHAST AND PHAST RISK
Improvements to Rainout Modelling
Over the last few years, we have performed a number of research projects jointly with industry and academia to improve the modelling of rainout. The most recent of these has provided an improved version of the 1994 CCPS correlations to characterise droplet size and size distribution. This new correlation is included in Phast version 6.7 as the default option.
Warehouse Model improvements
Extension to the model for instances when there is not enough material present for the specified fire duration.
Enabling ERPG equivalent mixture concentration and mixture lethality contours.
In-building model improvements
Release duration is set so that the contribution of re-evaporating liquid from instantaneous release is considered.
The release duration can never be more than the maximum release duration set in the parameters and, for continuous releases, never less than one air change.
Unified Dispersion Model version 2 made default
UDM version 2, introduced in Phast 6.6, is now the default selection for dispersion modelling.
Updates to the materials physical property system
Physical property data has been updated for toxic probit of CO2 and N2 to account for their asphyxiate potential.
Modified Pool Location in case of Bunds
Previously, for rainout inside a bund, the bund was centred at the rainout location. In version 6.7, the bund centre remains the release location and the more correct assumption that the pool would spread upwind from the downwind bund wall is applied.

PHAST RISK ONLY
Improved workflow for transferring risk results to Extended Reporting
The process by which results databases are managed has been extensively re-designed. These improvements increase efficiency in usage of Phast Risk and avoid issues arising whilst working with very large studies.
New 3D Cloud ME/Purple Book Explosion Method
This method adopts a similar approach to the default 2D Effect Zone Model in that no location specific congested volumes are described. However, the explosion energy is derived from the three dimensional cloud envelope and uses the Multi Energy explosion method to calculate explosion overpressures, resulting in more conservative results.
The Study Manager
This utility can be installed with Phast Risk and is used to combine risk results from multiple studies.
Separating studies between different project teams and later combining results
Investigating the joint impact of adjacent facilities
Looking at large scale combination of studies for land use planning
Provide a risk result viewer/analysis tool for those who are not Phast Risk users
